Open to new opportunities
Welcome,
Emily Twiddy
I'm Emily.
I'm a user experience designer.

Selected Work

A few recent bodies of work I'm proud of.

01

Align

Get clear on goals, constraints, and what success actually looks like before any design work starts.

02

Research

User interviews, competitor audits, and experience mapping to get to the real problem, not just the stated one.

03

Design

Start with the best solution for the user. Explore concepts, build wireframes and prototypes, then scale to what's feasible.

04

Deliver

Test in market, refine, hand off, and stay involved post-launch. The work doesn't stop when the file ships.

About

Hi! I'm Emily.

Thanks for checking out my work. Like a lot of people in UX, I didn't start here. I took a few creative detours along the way, and I'm glad I did.

These days I'm at Fidelity Investments, working on tools for people dealing with student debt. I like getting into complex problems and finding ways to make them feel a little clearer and easier to navigate.

Outside of work, I try to balance out the screen time. My dog, Banjo, gets me outside and moving. Yoga helps me slow down. And when I need a break from thinking, I'll pick up clay or paint, just making things for the sake of it.

It's all part of what keeps me grounded, curious, and ready to take on the next challenge.

A bit about my work

I got my start in design from small internships and gigs on the side while in college. From there, my interest in the bigger picture grew and I found myself landing in UX! I love partnering with teams big and small to make real business and user impact.

Why me?

What I bring to the table.

Craft and detail

I'm thorough in how I approach problems, looking at them from multiple angles and iterating consistently until research validates the direction.

Strategy and systems

I design with scale in mind, balancing user needs with business goals. I know when to reuse patterns and when to create something new.

Collaboration

I thrive off working closely with data science, engineering, legal, marketing, and product. It takes more than just design to deliver a solid product.

Real impact

I bring a unique combination of business and design thinking, which helps me connect user needs to real outcomes.
